1797 British 'cartwheel' penny with the portrait of King George III on one side and Britannia seated on the reverse. Wide rim and substantial size typical of this issue. Heavy wear evident, but central designs and legends are partially visible. Classic copper coin issued by the Soho Mint. Diameter approximately 36 mm.
