1984 Canada Cartier Dollar in Proof Finish
The 450th year since Jacques Cartier's landing at Gaspe, Quebec was honoured on July 24th, 1984, by the issue of a commemorative nickel dollar.
In 1534, King Francis of France authorized the voyage of Jacques Cartier, a French-Breton maritime explorer. This was in an effort to seek gold as well as other riches and find a new route to Asia. His journey allowed France to claim lands that later on became Canada. Commemorate Jacques Cartier's significant voyage with this Canadian 1984 Dollar with Frosted Proof Finish. The coin features Hector Greville's reverse design of Jacques Cartier that is complemented by a cross with the French coat of arms. This commemorative nickel dollar comes presented in a beautiful case.

We ship through Canada Post, which means we only ship within the parameters of their dimensions & weight. Anything won in our auctions above and beyond that will be forfeited.
