All in all, Canada has 48 national parks that cover more than 340,000 km2, which is about 3% of the country's total landmass. 1985 marks the 100th anniversary of the National Parks of Canada and to commemorate this, the Canadian Mint released this National Parks Centennial Proof Double Dollar Set. This beautiful set comes in a black box with red satin interior and includes the 1985 silver dollar to commemorate the 100th anniversary of an important part of Canada's heritage, the National Parks. As is typical, this set may have light toning.
