1986 Canada Proof Silver Dollar Commemorating the Centennial and the Arrival of the First Trans-Canada Train.
Issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Vancouver and the arrival of the first trans-Canada train in Vancouver. Canadian Pacific Engine No.371 was the first to arrive in 1886.
By 1886, the Canadian Pacific Railway Company made a decision to extend the trans-Canada line further to the country's Western region to Vancouver. This, in an effort to take advantage of more sophisticated harbor as well as terminal. In the long run, this played a key role in improving Vancouver's economy as well as other parts of the country. Canadian Pacific Engine No.371 was the first to arrive in 1886. Commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the first trans-Canada train in Vancouver with this 1986 Trans-Canada Silver Dollar Coin. It comes with Canadian Mint square case as well as a certificate of authenticity.

We ship through Canada Post, which means we only ship within the parameters of their dimensions & weight. Anything won in our auctions above and beyond that will be forfeited.
