This 1996 Silver Proof Dollar from the Royal Canadian Mint commemorates the discovery of the McIntosh apple in 1796 by John McIntosh. Crafted in .925 silver, the coin weighs 25.175 g and has a diameter of 36.07 mm. Featuring a detailed McIntosh apple design and the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the coin is housed in its original presentation box, complete with a description card highlighting the apple's significance in Canadian history.
