    Simple and well executed, this very interesting piece of functional artwork is actually a thermometer. (The room is about 22 Celsius.) The needle more or less quivers now, it can not be relied upon to maintain accurate temperature. Marked Stukowski 1982, it is a very obscure art piece. Clean lines resemble the Art Deco period combined with an inventive aesthetic.
    Measures: (Glass Panel) 20 inches tall x 20 inches wide, (including cables) 44 - 1/2 inches long x 21 inches wide.
    The solar cells provide current even under modest lighting. The top pads /ICs measure the capacitance between the wires, then output a signal to the NAND gate below. They are likely designed to each put out just enough voltage at various temperatures to trigger the input of the gates and henceforth moving the needle.
