Billy was a Purebred Plains Bison & came from Durham Ranch stock in Gillette, Wyoming. Our clients neighbor purchased him as a young bull and he became one of the herd sires. When Billy got older and meaner he would chase the owners so you had to be quick to jump over the coral gate. Billy was approx 14 when he met his demise & the owner took his old buddy to a taxidermist and had him mounted. At that time Billy's skull was checked with Boone and Crockett. Though Billy was never registered, he rough scored the second largest in the world
