Hockey collectible grouping featuring a framed black and white reprint photograph of the Dawson City Nuggets posed outside Dey's Rink in Ottawa in January 1905, with the players in heavy wool sweaters, early goalie pads and wooden sticks, and the rink's "Band" schedule poster on the boards behind them. Framed under glass in a light wood frame. Also includes 2 wooden wine presentation boxes with slide lids: a Wayne Gretzky Estates No. 99 box with a rope handle, laser-engraved with a "Never Say Never" Simpson 18 jersey and the Gretzky No. 99 seal, and an "8th Annual My Team My Town" engraved box with hockey logos. Good condition overall, with light wear to the boxes. | | *The Dawson City Nuggets made one of the most famous Stanley Cup challenges in history, travelling about 4,000 miles from the Yukon by dog sled, bicycle, foot, train and ship to face the Ottawa Silver Seven in January 1905. Ottawa won the second game 23-2, still the most lopsided game in Stanley Cup playoff history, with Frank McGee scoring a record 14 goals. Wayne Gretzky Estates presentation boxes are popular with Gretzky and Oilers fans for display and storage, and together these pieces make a great addition to a hockey den or rec room.

Shipping Charges will be calculated once the Auction has closed and will be added to the invoice once pick-ups are completed. We ship through Canada Post, which means we only ship within the parameters of their dimensions & weight. Anything won in our auctions above and beyond that will be forfeited.
Transportation fees start at $40.00 if you are unable to pick up your items on the scheduled day.
