Louise Piquette is a Canadian painter known for her abstract and expressive style. She was born in North Bay, Ontario in 1951 and began her artistic career in the early 1980s after studying at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto.

Piquette's artwork is characterized by a bold use of color and a strong sense of movement and texture. She often works in large formats, creating immersive and dynamic compositions that invite the viewer to explore and engage with the work. Piquette's paintings are inspired by nature, particularly the rugged and wild landscapes of Northern Ontario where she spent much of her childhood.

Throughout her career, Piquette has exhibited her artwork extensively throughout Canada and internationally, and her paintings are held in many public and private collections. In addition to her art practice, she is also a teacher and has taught at several universities and art schools in Canada.
