Mary Deeprose is a Canadian artist known for her unique approach to painting and drawing. She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1954, and spent much of her early life in various parts of Canada before settling in Toronto.
Deeprose studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design, where she honed her skills as a painter and printmaker. Her work is characterized by its abstract, gestural quality, often featuring bold brushstrokes and intense, vibrant colors.
Throughout her career, Deeprose has exhibited her work in many solo and group exhibitions across Canada, the United States, and Europe. Her paintings and prints are held in numerous public and private collections, including the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Deeprose's artistic style has evolved over time, with her more recent work focusing on the intersection of painting and drawing. She has also experimented with a range of media, including collage and mixed media, to create works that are both dynamic and expressive.
In addition to her artistic career, Deeprose has been an influential teacher and mentor to many young artists. She has taught at a number of institutions, including the Ontario College of Art and Design, and has been a visiting artist and lecturer at many universities and art schools throughout Canada and the United States. Today, she is recognized as one of Canada's most accomplished and innovative contemporary artists.

We ship through Canada Post, which means we only ship within the parameters of their dimensions & weight. Anything won in our auctions above and beyond that will be forfeited.
