Porcelain character baby doll in the style of antique German bisque babies, with a softly painted face, rosy cheeks, feathered brows, bright blue eyes, and an open mouth showing two upper teeth. Fluffy blonde curly wig under a white lace-trimmed bonnet with ribbon ties. Dressed in a full-length white cotton christening gown with smocked yoke, long sleeves, pintucked bands, eyelet and ribbon insertion trim, and a lace-edged hem. Porcelain hands. Face is clean with no visible chips or cracks noted; gown shows light creasing from storage. | | *Character baby dolls were introduced by German makers such as Kestner and Kammer & Reinhardt in the early 1900s, and faithful porcelain reproductions of these faces became a popular craft among doll artists in the 1970s-1990s. Shipping Charges will be calculated once the Auction has closed and will be added to the invoice once pick-ups are completed. We ship through Canada Post, which means we only ship within the parameters of their dimensions & weight. Anything won in our auctions above and beyond that will be forfeited.
Transportation fees start at $40.00 if you are unable to pick up your items on the scheduled day.
