Vintage Paymaster Ribbon Writer Type 8000 cheque writer, made by The Paymaster Corp. of Chicago for the Canadian market, with 1967 Canadian patent marking. The original cover plate lists a price of $379.50 F.O.B. Canada, with branch cities Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver, and serial number 38N71813. The machine is in a white and pale blue finish with eight dollars and cents columns, locked protection feature, pull handle, side lever and key lock with key present. It comes with the original "The Paymaster System" vinyl dust cover and has the Paymaster warning decal on the base. The machine is in very good condition overall, with some light surface marks on the lower back panel and age wear to the dust cover. | | *Paymaster Series 8000 Ribbon Writers are a popular piece of mid-century office and banking history, valued by collectors in the US $75-100 range. Reconditioned working examples sell for US $299 from Paymaster service specialists. This example includes the original key, dust cover and Canadian price plate, which are often missing.

We ship through Canada Post, which means we only ship within the parameters of their dimensions & weight. Anything won in our auctions above and beyond that will be forfeited.
Transportation fees start at $40.00 if you are unable to pick up your items on the scheduled day.
