Auction Details
Beck Auctions presents the Terwillegar Towne Treasure Trove Estate — a remarkably diverse Edmonton estate packed with quality furnishings, collectible art, fine china, hockey memorabilia, vintage treasures, household essentials and unexpected finds from room to room.
This is the kind of estate auction where it pays to explore the entire catalogue.
Collectors will immediately notice an impressive selection of Canadian and Indigenous art, including works attributed and catalogued to notable artists such as Ken Danby, Eddy Cobiness, Carl Ray, Pitseolak Ashoona and Paul Joseph. Highlights include signed and numbered works, Inuit and Indigenous imagery, hockey-themed artwork and a distinctive Ken Danby hockey print presented in a custom hockey-stick frame.
Edmonton Oilers fans have plenty to chase. The collection features framed Oilers artwork, prints by Yong Kim, a framed piece featuring Connor McDavid, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall, Ken Danby hockey imagery, additional hockey art and a selection of ladies' Edmonton Oilers jerseys and apparel.
Fine china and figurine collectors will discover Wedgwood Aspen bone china, Limoges porcelain miniatures, Royal Doulton figurines including Mexican Hat Dance and Fair Lady, Royal Doulton character jugs, Royal Albert, Aynsley, Noritake, Bunnykins and a beautiful Giuseppe Armani "Sun Shower" porcelain figure made in Italy. Add silverplate serving pieces, a Viking EP copper tea service, cut crystal, decorative glassware and assorted ceramics, and there is plenty here for cabinet and tabletop collectors.
Furniture buyers will find pieces for virtually every room of the home, including a king-size bed with iComfort mattress, genuine leather loveseat, oak dining sets, walnut and solid-oak sideboards, china cabinets, a Lane cedar chest, carved cabinets, nesting tables, rocking chairs, bookcases, desks, dressers and storage furniture. A particularly appealing find is a mid-century modern teak three-drawer dresser, alongside Scandinavian-style bentwood lounge chairs and several contemporary glass-top tables.
There are excellent practical finds as well. Upgrade the kitchen with Breville appliances, including a toaster oven and Fast Slow Cooker, plus a Keurig coffee maker, Oneida stainless cookware, Pyrex bakeware, glass serving pieces and everyday kitchen essentials. Around the home you'll find a 60-inch Sony television, Samsung television, IQAir HealthPro air purifier, chest freezer, robotic vacuum, office equipment, storage solutions and much more.
Vintage technology and nostalgia are another fun part of this collection. Look for a Dual 506 belt-drive turntable with vinyl, a Bell & Howell Autoload movie camera with its case and manual, an RCA Newvicon colour video camera, DVD/VCR equipment, vintage media and even a boxed Sewmaster toy sewing machine.
The garage and outdoor selection brings another group of buyers into the mix with cordless drills, Black+Decker and Maximum tools, hand-tool assortments, a Shop-Vac, ladders, automotive supplies, a Broil King natural-gas barbecue, portable Martin propane barbecue, patio furniture and an oversized glazed ceramic garden pot with dragon decoration.
Fashion and accessory hunters should keep scrolling too. The estate includes numerous handbags, leather purses, wallets, costume jewellery and large groupings of women's footwear from names including Rieker, Pikolinos, Nine West, Franco Sarto and Roots, along with other accessories and personal items.
And with the holidays approaching, there is an extensive assortment of Christmas décor, including boxed and vintage ornaments, NOMA pieces, Santa and snowman decorations, a Kirkland musical snowman, holiday artwork and a pre-lit Christmas tree.
From collectible Canadian artwork and Oilers memorabilia to Royal Doulton, Wedgwood, Limoges, mid-century furniture, crystal, vintage cameras, quality appliances, tools and everyday household bargains, Terwillegar Towne Treasure Trove Estate truly lives up to its name.
