Large-format black and white photo print of Ben Hogan's famous 1-iron approach to the 18th green at Merion during the final round of the 1950 U.S. Open, with packed galleries lining the fairway, one of the most recognized images in golf history. Caption along the bottom reads "Ben Hogan. Now, as then, the name to watch in golf." Small printed text in the lower corners (credit details, not fully legible). Commemorative print, not a period-original photograph. Unsigned. Framed under glass with cream mat and black frame. Frame measures 33.25" x 21.5". Good condition, with no visible damage to the print, mat or glass. | | *Ben Hogan won 4 U.S. Open titles, including 1950 at Merion, and is regarded as one of the greatest players in golf history, with 9 major championships and a place among the 6 men to complete the modern career grand slam. The 1950 win came just 16 months after a near-fatal car accident, which makes this image a lasting favourite with golf fans. Ben Hogan photos and prints are widely collected, and framed Ben Hogan prints commonly list on eBay in the US$30-130 range, with large framed examples at the upper end.

We ship through Canada Post, which means we only ship within the parameters of their dimensions & weight. Anything won in our auctions above and beyond that will be forfeited.
Transportation fees start at $40.00 if you are unable to pick up your items on the scheduled day.
