    Tony Overweel is a Canadian artist born in 1957 in Windsor, Ontario. He is primarily known for his oil paintings, which often depict the natural landscapes of Canada, particularly the forests and waterways of his home province of Ontario.

    Overweel studied art at the University of Windsor and the Ontario College of Art, where he honed his skills as a painter. His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Canada and the United States, and he has won several awards for his art, including the Alcan Award for Excellence and the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award.

    Overweel's paintings are characterized by their use of bold colors and strong brushstrokes to capture the beauty and vitality of nature.
