Vintage Philips Code-a-phone 1400C Remote Command telephone answering machine, model CAP-142, made in Japan. It has power and in-use indicator lights, a ring count selector, erase, start and rewind buttons, a function dial for answer, playback and announce, a volume control, a built-in condenser microphone, and a Call Control switch. It comes with its beige remote command unit for checking messages from away, the original 12 volt AC power adapter, and a telephone cord. It has bilingual English and French controls and labelling for the Canadian market. Condition shows light wear and scuffs to the case consistent with age. | | *The Code-a-phone was one of the best-known home and office answering machines of the late 1970s and 1980s, and remote command models like this let owners retrieve messages from any phone. Vintage answering machines are collected today as retro tech and as props for film and period decor.

Shipping Charges will be calculated once the Auction has closed and will be added to the invoice once pick-ups are completed. We ship through Canada Post, which means we only ship within the parameters of their dimensions & weight. Anything won in our auctions above and beyond that will be forfeited.
Transportation fees start at $40.00 if you are unable to pick up your items on the scheduled day.
