vintage mid-century modern (MCM) black ceramic panther figurine with green "jewel" eyes and a painted necklace/collar, likely made in Japan.
These figurines were a popular home decor item in the 1950s.
They typically have a glossy black finish and are often found in a stalking or prowling pose.
The material is usually ceramic or terracotta.
A smaller ceramic tiger figurine is also pictured alongside the panther.
